Job Overview

Wright & Co Partnership Ltd, a leading accountancy firm in the UK, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Wednesbury. The successful candidate will play an integral role in providing exceptional accounting services to our diverse clientele, ranging from small businesses to multi-million-pound corporations.   1. Manage monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, ensuring accurate financial records for clients.

  2. Prepare and analyse management accounts, offering insights to drive business performance.

  3. Compile financial statements using IRIS software, adhering to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  4. Participate in accounting audits, gathering relevant documentation and liaising with clients.

  5. Utilize accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel to efficiently manage financial data.

  6. Ensure clients' compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements and provide guidance on MTD processes.

  7. Maintain open communication with clients, providing timely and professional advice.

  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure client satisfaction and the highest quality of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.

  2. Proficiency in accounting software, including IRIS, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.

  3. Demonstrated experience in monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and management accounts preparation.

  4. Familiarity with the compilation of financial statements using IRIS software.

  5. Experience participating in accounting audits.

  6. Knowledge of Making Tax Digital (MTD) regulations and processes.

  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Requirements:

  1. ACCA or ACA qualification (or working towards completion) is desirable.

  2. QBE (Qualified By Experience) is also desirable.
